A few things to keep in mind this week:
Bagel and kugel lovers: rejoice! It's Nosh Jewish food week, and from March 19th through March 26th, there will be dinners and demos and discussions about Jewish food all over town. The Jewish-Roman Shabbat Supperclub menu looks particularly enticing.
C/O Berlin responds to public debates about increasing surveillance in Germany in a new exhibition: Watched! Surveillance, Art, and Photography. The exhibit features emerging artists alongside established artists like Hito Steyerl and Ai Wei Wei to raise new questions about visibility, invisibility, and power in the surveillance age.
The Maerzmusik Festival about the relationship between music and time culminates with the 30 hour performance, The Long Now. The program, which takes place in the former power station, Kraftwerk, draws on everything from Renaissance polyphony to live electronics. Beds provided.
